    New 2023 Custom Project

Looking at MOTU and fantasy movies from the 70s and 80s, I had a fun idea for the Ctvt custom of the month. Each month, build a fantasy style figure from easily sourced Dr Mego and Ctvt parts. Thinking of keeping it at a 20 dollar cap before shipping and tax. Just a fun project and maybe a way to get some excitement going again. Maybe 2024 a SciFi line...

Twenty dollars doesn't buy a whole lot.

What if we limit the $20 just to parts, and use whatever existing body we have.
Thanks to my local Walmart, they are FINALLY clearancing out the two pegs of Saru
they have been stocked with ( and nothing else ) FOREVER, for $7, moving them to the general clearance area..
Sadly tho, it also looks like there are no more pegs in the collector section for Mego.
they've put up pegs for more Funko Fig Pins.

If we state that you can use whatever body you have on hand as a starting point, then that stretches the $20 better.

Sounds good but I do this every week with the Svengoolie/Sventoonie so I cannot wait to see what others come up with.
