Pretty quick from the moment doctors told her, but she had colon cancer for a while. I’m sure it was Stage IV by that time. Scientologists don’t believe they can get cancer, so she never had a colonoscopy.

        Colon cancer is slow growing.

My dad died of colon cancer. He was in his 70s and had never done a colonoscopy.

Please, fellow members, if you have not done a colonoscopy, do it now. We are all at that age. Cancerous polyps can be zapped if caught early enough.

I have one every 3 years because of my Crohn’s Disease.

Had Kirstie Alley done a colonoscopy a few years earlier, she’s be alive today.

Colon cancer is one of the most preventable and curable cancers if caught in early stages.

        Regular screenings is the key.

well said Hector, and yes, you are absolutely correct. I started getting them at 45. they're not fun but they are better than the alternative

Yeah. I really hate doing a colonoscopy every 3 years, but I have too. Having Crohn’s Disease puts me on a higher bracket of colon cancer. Like you said, it’s a drag, but better be safe than sorry.

I had my first one in 2018. And the next one was this past January 18th. Both times it was all Gerd related and the first time my Esophagus actually MOVED into my upper chest cavity.

Weird. But yes go do it. And I had BOTH a colonoscopy and a in Endoscopy at the same time!! They knock you out you DON'T FEEL a thing and your up in 1/2 an hours time.

It's the Fasting the day before and the cleansing that KILLS me.

              JG.

Preb for a colonoscopy is the toughest

No food, just Gator and sh_tmaking powder

When your poo is clear you're ready to go

Only thing that makes life living is that McDonald's sausage and egg McMuffin on the way home afterwards

They have a powder for that now? You mean like you mix it with your Gator-Ade and are able to drink that?

Seriously, I didn't know about it if there is a powder-Someone in my family had it done, and they were given a bottle (maybe a small jug, I can't remember exactly) of this clear liquid they had to chug down the night before the procedure... From what I remember, he said the stuff he had to drink tasted horrible, so a powder you can mix with a beverage you like sounds like a better alternative.

                      Miralax.
You mix a 238 gram bottle of Miralax with a 64-ounce bottle of Gatorade.

You can use Crystal Light. That liquid is really hard to choke down after a while. Of course, the doctor told me about the Crystal Light after my I had already chugged the whole disgusting jug.

Kristie Alley in her younger days was pretty hot --- see Runaway & Star Trek 2

I refuse to let this thread end taking about Gator-Ade, Miralax and Crystal Light...

                          Kristie Alley was HOT

She was really hot. We need at least one Mego figure of her. I'd like a Star Trek figure and a Cheers figure.

she was definitely gorgeous when she was young. striking eyes. I think Trek 2 was the best she ever looked, though she was good in Runaway too
