Action Jackson Surf Set. Question. About the Snorkel???

    Hey all,
So I have been trying to complete my loose collection of A.J. outfits.
I have been looking at the "Surf and Scuba" set. In particular the Snorkel used
in the set. So is it the same scale as the one used in "Fighting Yank" sets (1/6 scale)
or is it in a proper Mego scale.

This could help in the completion of this outfit. For the curious; I was thinking
of fabricating a snorkel out of Styrene dowel if the scale is smaller than Fighting Yank.
Else, I'll just try to get the knock off 1/6 snorkel off eBay and be done.

I don't know how it compares to the Fighting Yank version, but my AJ snorkel seems scaled for 1/9. It would be pretty small for 1/6.

      Sorry about taking so long:

I still have a few Acton Jackson outifits still sealed so it will make it easier to compare.

      Packages

Snorkels look close in size. Bonus is the fake Barbie is attached to the mask so you want loose it as easy.

Fins look to be the same size. I did have to work at putting them on the NuMego so their feet are larger than the original Mego

The snorkel is one of the hardest to find once it's out of the package, next is the mask because its head with string that breaks over years. I have an AJ loose in the scuba outfit that I replaced with the fake Barbie outfit because it is too hard to track those down and I am NOT going to open this package.

Have you looked in non action figure sources? I saw fairly nice looking snorkel that claimed to be dollhouse scale at 1:12. At 5 dollars it might be worth a shot.

          Hello again.
Hey thanks for all the pics and advice. It will really help as I move forward.
I picked up some styrene recently and I'm gonna give customizing one a try.
But of course I'll keep an eye on eBay, just in case.
