    Vartox, Hero of Valeron

From the DC Bronze Age: Vartox, buddy of Superman, hero of Valeron, and winner of the "Most 70's Super-Hero Costume Ever" award (he's definitely a fan of Sean Connery's "Zardoz"). Made with a Wrath of Khan Kirk head modified to proper 70's funky style:

That’s great. And, yes, coupled with the mustache, he couldn’t look more 70s.

That is a very nice figure. I like the look. I was a kid in the 70's reading Superman and I don't remember him. The figure is great and I do enjoy seeing characters that are not so "mainstream."

Cool idea it came out very nicely, sort of has a Tom Selleck vibe to it.

I'm not familiar with the character, but yes, you can definitely see that Zardoz was a huge influence. Really enjoy this figure! The chest hair was a nice touch.

Atomic Skull has a head and a body in a baggie with his name on it (got a box full of Megos to be made: appropriate head, body and pre-existing accessories needed set aside for specific characters, each in a baggie labelled for them). Of course, then I get inspired to do something out of the blue like the Marvel family or the secret IDs which I hadn't planned out, so I'm nowhere near as organized as it sounds. Like Master Jailer, who wasn't on the list and now likely is...

Metallo is on the list, but the raised collar is a challenge I haven't quite worked out yet (it needs to be basically one piece to look right, and that's not gonna be easy). 01.JPG
I did have an old, old version of him, but the front was just a flat strip of green material over the orange bodysuit, so it wasn't quite accurate.

Looks fanastic! I have a soft spot for Vartox, since I occasionally voiced him on my late friend Xum Yukinori's "Done In One Wonders Podcast Wonder Show". Of course I voice him via a bad Sean Connery impression!
