A Salute to Kevin Conroy

Dan Greenfield of 13th Dimension asked me to write an appreciation of Kevin Conroy. It was an easy thing to do, but something I never wanted to do, either.

Just like when Adam West passed, I felt the need to illustrate my feeling of loss for a friend I only met once. It was one of those images I had in my head that I had to get down on paper. I called it "Silent Knight".

If somebody asks, "Who's your favorite Batman?" I don't need to think about it long. I judge all the others by how close they get to the bar Mr. Conroy set. Gone too soon.

The article is a wonderful tribute. And your art is a very fitting tribute as well.

I never met the man, but I have seen some interviews and Cameos... I definitely got the impression that he was the genuine article, with a deep love for the material and its fans.
