Starsky & Hutch CHOPPER question: legwear?

Is the S&H Chopper vintage Mego figure wearing tights or dark-blue knit pants?

I seem to recall reading here years ago that he had pants tucked into ape boots, but that there were some variants with tights.

I had a Chopper a little ways back that I kept briefly then sold on ebay, the one I had I’m pretty sure wore dark blue tights like stretch pants with the black ape boots.

There’s not much history on mego Chopper, but for a Street punk the clothes he came with weren’t very tough looking, he would have been better off with something like they gave Fonzie, leather jacket and jeans with black shoes and maybe a baseball bat or hand gun tucked in his pants.
