    RIP Kevin Conroy

Gone at 66, way too young.

That is terrible news. Even though I grew up with Adam West, in many ways Kevin Conroy was the definitive voice of my caped crusader. One of a kind. RIP...

I said this on FB, but I'll say it again here. Like Batman...I'm speechless.

As much as I love Adam West, and to a lesser extent Keaton, Conroy WAS Batman. His voice is what I, and millions of others heard when thought of the character, or read the comics.

His voice transcended the different versions of Batman. From Robin's chum to the Darkest of Knights. That makes him unique as far as character portrayals go, and more universal.

This one hurts. I will always hear Conroy's voice when I read Batman. And I always joked the Christian Bale Batman movies would have been 100% better if they rerecorded all the Batman lies with Kevin Conroy and dubbed them in.

        Rest in Power Mr. Conroy.

I was never/am not a Batman fan, but I gave Batman The Animated Series a try, when it first started and it blew me away. I also thought about Kevin’s voice, “Wow, what a voice!”. I followed the series all the way through and was later addicted to the Justice League cartoon and Justice League Unlimited. He will be missed.

Sad, sad news. He, like much of the animated series, was perfect. As others have said, a voice I hear in my head when I read or imagine Batman. RIP.

              Crap. That one hurts.

God Bless you, Kevin, and your family too.

The definitive Batman, in my opinion. Irreplaceable.

I just saw that he passed away. I had to pause and do a double take. My favorite Batman, even if he was just the voice. Right above Adam West and another voice, Olan Soule. I am glad we got to see him actually play Bruce Wayne in the Arrowverse Crossover.

This guts me. The only autograph I’ve ever paid for. I just watched Batman: Gotham Knight yesterday. Just sad, sad news.

I thought he was great casting as Captain Sunshine!

Danny Dark will always be Superman—but Kevin was Batman…
