First one hits on a lot of great notes. Will be hard to keep that hot streak alive.

Without Mick Garris writing, I do wonder, but I'm excited to check it out anyway.

My wife declares nothing else will happen before we watch this film on it's premiere date. And I'm down too!

Well tonight boyfriend and I watched Hocus Pocus 1 & 2 after Drag Race. HP2 was ok but it fit more into the newer Disney misunderstood villain arc than the first movie. Still not sure it I liked it. Also stayed tuned through the credits for the bonus scene.

I was disappointed in the Sanderson Drag Queens show, there was barely anything there. What a waste of the Queens.

From the other thread I shouldn't have started (sorry, forgot about this one!):

This was fun! Definitey of a piece with the original, and a worthy sequel.

I didn't pay much attention to the first film when it came out. I was 18 and off to college. But it became a staple for my kids, and eventually the whole family got into watching it every year.

The new movie does it justice and does a good job of recreating the best moments of the film without it feeling forced. It's a bit self-referential as well.

But the new story was actually pretty original, and a good one at that. My family really enjoyed it.

    Plus, a Dark Shadows nod!
