    Thunderbirds on METV

Watching the first episode of Thunderbirds and had a few thoughts...
The bad guy plants a bomb on an airliner. The Auto Bomb is in two pieces and each section has a polished engraved brass plaque naming it as Auto Bomb Fuse and Auto Bomb Explosive Device. Bad guys just don't take as much pride in their work as they used to.
Second, that underground launch facility would have to be so big ...massive...it defies comprehension. And...unnecessary. Why does it need a moving track for the pilot to enter or an even larger moving track to move the rocket?

Just in case that was a serious question...

Well, the moving tracks, slides, seats and other contrivances for onboarding pilots were used to avoid showing them walking, which was somewhat awkward no matter how skillful the puppeteer. As for the rocket mover, it's all about organization! Every super high-tech rescue team needs a motorized storage system for their heavy equipment. Gotta keep those multi-million dollar secret underground hangers tidy! (More importantly, it looks so cool!)

I've always loved these shows! They're like a living toybox!
