    Great article on Tor Johnson

Not of this World #2Tor Johnson Super Swedish Angel/MonsterFor most of us, our first exposure to Tor Johnson was between the pages of Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine. If you are of a certain age and bent, then Famous Monsters joined Mad magazine as your childhood's Old and New Testament. Tor appeared in those magic pages many times in all his bald, white-eyed monster glory. But where does a monster come from? I assumed Tor was created in a make-up room by Jack Pierce or Dick Smith. I wish Tor Johnson, as well as Lon Chaney Jr and Bella would have lived into today

They would be Chiller Theatre GODS !!!

Imagine the stories they could have told

Shame their own generation didn't appreciate them

Yeah I'm sure 145 year old Bela would still be doing cons.

          Good article.

Not necessarily a critique but it almost felt like the author was being rushed out to dinner or something. The first half is very in depth with almost laborious detail on some of the other "Angels" in wrestling and then it gets to Tor's movie career and fast forwards to he's dead, he was in a comic panel and now he lives on.

I dunno seemed to sort of abruptly stop once we actually got to like, Tor.

I know there's not a lot of behind the scenes info on some of those films or even why artists and such became fascinated with his visage, but it seems like that's the more interesting stuff.

Still any Tor is good Tor!
