I just bought the new mego joker and I thought the shoes being brown was weird. I looked up the original and I was surprised that it also had brown shoes. I just don't think the Joker looks right in brown shoes. I think they should have been black instead. So was wondering if anyone else thought it was a weird choice of mego to make?

I’m guessing he got brown shoes since Penguin had black shoes and I guess they figured they would give the Joker brown shoes like Pa Walton to be different.
I think Joker would look good in black shoes too. -

Looking at the style guide art from the 70s, he usually had brown shoes. A couple of issues from the comics he had geeen shoes which was an interesting look. Several images from the 80s show him with shoes the same purple as his suit and it seems less visually interesting. A few of them also had him wearing traditional black-but-painted-blue shoes.
