          I’m not sure why, but the first one that came to mind was “I’m Not In Love” by 10 cc. I really like that song.

              There's so many fantastic E.L. songs!

              One that comes to mind almost instantly is the Carpenters' "A Song for You" from 1972.

                Alan O'Day wrote the strangest pop songs. This is his best one IMHO.
