Dark Shadows Custom Mego Figures Lot

The bidding is getting pretty insane for this lot of 14 custom figures. The seller even admits they are crudely made. Just goes to show that there is a thirsty fan base out there if Mego decides to get the license and make them. I would definitely buy them!

going out on a limb and guessing that Barnabas, Angelique, and the two werewolf figures are at least half of the bid up to now. It will probably go farther. They do have a sort of charm to them, and I can certainly see Dark Shadows fans enjoying a shelf display like that.

Mego should certainly consider Dark Shadows. And I agree, these are charming. I appreciate that a lot of creativity and devotion went into them. They remind me of Mego customs decades ago.

These are pretty neat, and I agree that Mego should look into getting the license to make these or at least Barnabas, they already have werewolves.

I correctly identified each character, so there's definitely some fidelity to the material there. Insane amount of dough spent on a custom lot though, even with the Specter figures in there!

Those are very nicely done ! Some of the likenesses are a bit spotty, but others are spot on ! Like Nicholas Blair, Quentin,And Reverend Trask...I applaud this effort and would proudly display these figure....but what's with the Trek legs and pants on Barnabus ???

Good call! I didn't even notice that, and Scotty as Barnabas was my very first custom in back in '75/76. I was busy trying to figure out what figure was used for Forbes, that one impressed me the most. I still can't figure it out.

I thought Forbes looked like a Superman base.
