After a decade away from collecting Mego...

So, more than a decade ago I decided I was too obsessed with toys (especially Mego) and sold nearly everything I owned. It was probably the healthy thing to do. I never lost my love for Megos, and have always had my eyes open for them when out and about. A couple weeks ago I saw a case full of them at an antique mall. AND, they were reasonably priced. I walked out without them.... and thought about them constantly for the next two days. I went back, and the entire case was 20% off! I bought the mintiest items in the case (Joker, Torch, Spidey), and a decent item I never owned (Spider-car). So I'm back with my tiny little collection.

The thing is, the guy I sold my collection to never did anything with them. The last time we'd spoken was a few years ago, and he told me they were in the same box I'd sold them in (a fairly large box). I called him yesterday, and no, he's never touched them. I asked to buy back my collection. He's going to dig them out (This is a guy with a warehouse of comics and collectibles), and I'm waiting to hear back. I have a dream that he'll sell them back to me for little more than I sold them for.

Anyway, after a long hiatus I'm back

Welcome back. Crazy to think how often pieces are shuffled around and not really touched.

As long as it brings you joy.

Agreed! If it makes you happy and isn't hurting others, then go for it. Good luck on reuniting with your old collection!

Welcome back. I never feel guilty about collecting something you love. Look at the stock market people pore their retirement plans into companies and stocks they know next to nothing about. Atleast this is something you love and are knowledgeable about.
