    Expanding Mego heads?

I know acetone can be used to shrink heads...is there a way to expand a head to make it look a little bigger?

If you had very quick setting mold making material that can stand acetone, you could enlarge it with the acetone and make a mold really quickly.
As far as keeping the original head large, I haven't heard of anything that will do that.

You can make a mold and then make a cast with material that expands in water. SmoothOn used to carry it. Hydrospan or something like that.

When it swells up to the size you want, make a mold of the hydrospan and then cast in resin.

You can accomplish this by either shrinking or expanding a rubber mold using solvent.

Apparently SmoothOn now recommends shrinking and enlarging the mold not the cast. Cool

I would have found that information more useful about ten or twelve years ago. I don't like hydrospan. It sets too quickly.
