Glimpse of WGT on Dateline NBC?

Trying to fall asleep, I was half-watching a repeat of Dateline NBC late last nite (it runs 2-3am), and they were doing a story on the "Comic Book Murder", seen here:

Closing the book on comic book murder - Crime reports - MSNBC.com

At one point (unfortunately not seen on the highly abbreviated web version), the correspondent is narrating inside what looked to be a Borders/B&N type store.. he walks up to a bookcase of graphic novels as he talks. I was looking at the correspondent, but just as the brief scene was concluding I noticed what looked to be the WGT book right on top of the bookcase with the cover facing the audience.

I was watching on a small bedroom TV, and like I said, by the time I noticed it, the scene was over. So that's about all I can offer.

Maybe someone else saw it? This was the first of a two-part episode on the story. I assume they'll run the second half next week at the same time. Maybe they'll have some more shots at that location.

Just thought it was worth a mention.

Interesting! If anyone has information about this, or possibly TiVo'd the show, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for pointing it out.

I saw that episode a couple weeks ago when it aired in it's normal primetime slot. I didn't see the book, but I remember the guy talking in such an area ... now I wish I would have looked closer.

Michael George and his second wife are the organizers of the Pittsburgh Comicon. The convention staff have said that the convention could continue without their direct involvement, which I hope is true!

  5. I watched that episode when it first aired but did not notice the book. I did see all the tpbs and comic books. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention.
