    RIP Comics Legend Neal Adams

    https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/mo...st-1235138106/

Reports are coming in that comics legend Neal Adams passed yesterday at the age of 80 from complications from sepsis. Adams was a legend in the industry, and his contributions to the artform, medium and industry are countless. He will be missed.

I'm gobsmacked. Adams seemed way younger than his years too. I got to meet him a Lexington Comic Con a few years back, and he signed a Tim Drake Robin poster my son bought, and a few things for me. He was very engaged in talking to us.

He changed the comic artform. He brought realism to it that hadn't been in mainstream comic before. You can defnitely look at the work at DC and Marvel as Pre-and Post-Adams.

He drew my childhood. You name it, his work was on Mego packaging, coloring books, Power Records and tons of Superman comics. I have several pieces displayed in my mancave.

Huge impact on my life for sure.

          Oh no!

This one really hurts...when I think of Batman I automatically think of Neal's 1970's work. Loved his Comico originals in the late 80's too. Huge loss for the comic book world.

RIP. He and Aparo defined Batman for me. Deadman and Green Arrow come to mind, too.

I have meet him several times and even did a few interviews with him over the years. I loved his Continuity Comics and while at SDCC I was lucky to spend time just talking to him for an hour.
