Marvel was truly alive during the 80's and pushed Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends as Stan Lee was at the White House during Easter 1983 with the Reagans and Spider-Man Firestar, Iceman, Captain America, Spider-Woman, Green Goblin, Crystar, Thing, and Hulk along with Woody Woodpecker, Winnie the Pooh, American Eagle, Garfield, & Clifford the Red Dog.

The boots that Goblin is wearing in the first photo look different than the boots in the second photo.

Might just be standing in them vs. sitting in them though.

The second photo may have come from the Department of Energy set of photos where Marvel Comics characters where invited to the White House.

Maybe it's just a combination of pictures from different years, so that's why both Carter and Reagan are in them. Or you know, converging variant time lines.
