Svengoolie signs new merch deal, NECA figure a possibility

FTC wasn't to blame necessarily for the high prices of the Sven figures, but they were ridiculous even at retail.

METV wanted a ridiculous like $20 shipping charge for any Sven figures. Buy 5 figures, $20 shipping per figure! Buy 1? $20 shipping!

It's the only reason I never picked any up.

So while the secondary market is insane, the figures were exorbitantly priced with the shipping.

NECA's figures are almost guaranteed to be better. But hopefully they aren't exclusive to the METV store. Otherwise it'll be the same issue.

Fingers crossed for an 8 inch retro style. I've come to admire Neca's 8 inch stuff.

Yeah I hope for 8 inch too, bummed to miss out on the previous one. Had to bug my American cousin to get my Svengoolie T-shirt, 2022 and still only US orders. I'm looking to get some NECA's myself eventually, the Quint is sweet.

@monitor_ep: Sculpted hair from NECA would be a plus, not saying stranded is bad but it's extra work to maintain.

That is absolutely crazy pricing on the shipping-I can see why you opted not to buy.

I went with the black top hat from Penguin. Much better fit.
