CA variations

I was looking at some stuff and thought it would be cool to have a list of all the variations in one quick reference spot. I'll list the ones I can think of off the top of my head and you guys can add what I've missed (probably a lot....LOL).

1) steve canyon

- olive suit
- green suit

2) CA outfit

- blue
- purple (transformed blue)

3) sgt. fury

mask: bearded, moustache, clean shaven

4) aquaman

mask: white lips, pink lips

5) phantom

guns: either .45s or revolvers

quick question regarding the cap action purple suit are you saying the color changed over time much like the purple gray mego type one superman suit as i thought it was down to a factory using phantom purple fabric by mistake or design due to shortage of the blue at some point in production

also i've seen a knock off wearing a half and half captain action suit purple and blue with black
and assumed it was a factory error or reject

I'll reply here and the other thread.

Basically I've seen faded/UV damaged blue suits, and full on Phantom colored suits as well. I also have seen the combination one you mentioned that has normal C/A blue jumpsuit along with phantom blue legs. I feel they were factory mix ups and a cool one at that.

I've seen two and both had the purple coloring on the outside, but you could definitely see that it was a blue outift on the inside.

I have seen that as well. This is mine, you can see the inside is the same color as the outside. It's kind of funny the edge of the material is the standard blue as you can see, but the suit is purple. I can probably get better shots of it.

That’s a legitimate purple variant. Only the extra material used to secure the snaps is blue, and it’s a different type of fabric.

Flash Gordon has two variations in the suit. One has two oxygen holes in the front, and one without those holes.

I have two versions of the Superman cape: One that is smooth with a glossy appearance on both sides and one that is smooth/glossy on one side and textured with a flat finish on the other side.

I also have a Superman mask with pink lips and one with white lips.

Another Batman variant is white button vs. black button on the cape, and softer, airbrushed diagonal stripes vs. harder edged horizontal stripes.
