The actor Gaspard Ulliel, who plays Midnight Man in the series, has died in a skiing accident:

French actor Gaspard Ulliel, who is set to appear in Marvel's forthcoming TV series Moon Knight, has died aged 37.

His family told news agency AFP he died on Wednesday following a skiing accident in the Alps.

Ulliel, one of France's best-known actors, has appeared in It's Only the End of the World and Saint Laurent, the biopic of the French fashion designer.

The actor was skiing in the Savoie region on Tuesday when he collided with another person.

He suffered severe brain trauma and was airlifted to a hospital in Grenoble, where he died the next day.

The other skier was not hospitalised and an investigation is now under way.

The news of his death came just a day after the trailer for Moon Knight, in which he stars as Midnight Man, was released online.

I'll always associate Moon Knight as a bounty hunter sent to take on Werewolf by Night. To me, that angle should be covered properly to pay some kind of homage to his introduction in comics.

^In that first trailer, he's pounding some creature that COULD be a werewolf, but also could be a Mummy/Zombie too. Hard to tell.

Yep. That was recently pointed out to me and I agree. I just hope they give it more than a footnote glance. I've heard the Werewolf by Night license is also up to bat as either a movie or streaming series. Would love to see a faithful interpretation of that series because it was so well written, especially for it's day. I know if they do, the wolf will likely be overly stylized probably to reflect the Bill Sienkiewicz look. Great run there too but I would love, just once, to see the original version brought to life with Moon Knight as the bad guy.

I could see a young Gael Garcia Bernal with groovy '70s hair as Jack Russell...

Episode 1 was a decent enough start.
Quite a slow build-up type of episode, setting things up, etc.
The Moon Knight suit looks good, as we already saw in the trailers, (although it's a long wait before we actually see it in the episode!)

Definitely not the Moon Knight from the 70s.

He looks like a mummy, it's weird to me. Is the whole thing based upon Fist of Khonshu?
