7th St. Toys = Doc Mego?

    Hello,

    First post to the forums.

I've been collecting vintage Mego, mostly the super heroes, but I do have some Wizard of Oz and Action Jackson.

I recently acquired a custom Reverse Flash off of eBay. He is marked 7thStToys.com on the back of his 2001-dated type-2 body. His head is a resin casting of an original 1972-dated Mego head. The suit is custom sewn with a hand-made chest logo and additional body striping/trim. His elastic was broken so I re-strung him.

My wife spent some time on Google looking for information on 7th St. Toys but found very little. There was a mention on a forum that this might have been an early company of Doc Mego.

Does anyone know if this is true? Any more info on 7th St. Toys that can be shared?

    TIA.

    Robert

I came across a couple Toyfare mags from 2002 that I had buried, and paged through them. I noticed a small ad that featured some Mego figs from an outfit advertising themselves as http://www.7thsttoys.com/ with a PO Box # in Old Bethpage, NY. The site is now defunct, but using the Wayback: Internet Archive (http://www
