Can anyone give me insight on painting a body or know anyone that could help do it for me? Best brand of paint to use and how to make sure it doesn't get clunky?

Painting doesn't work well for bodies if you want to pose them because the paint rubs off. Some people dye the bodies to the color they want. I've not had success doing that. -
dyeing does work but the chest and pelvis pieces are different plastic and take the dye differentlyComment

I've had some real messes with auto vinyl paint. I've used dye many times to tint heads and some hands.
But for bodies, I worry about flaking and crocking--so I use colored bodies as needed. I realized the female options are limited, but I don't dislike the Mego "Gal" body.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

The bodies I need help with are non articulated so I don't think it will be as bad as ones with joints. I can paint details like eyes but have trouble getting a smooth look to the body for some reason.Comment

Those paints work fine on the heads, too. You just have to make sure not to squash them after you paint them or it will crack.Comment

They do have a black regular body CTVT. You could take the arms and legs from one of those and paint a fat body torso black, then put them together. Only problem would be matching the finish. Some Elmer's glue coating the torso might keep it from being too flat a black, depending on what kind of paint you use. Does the torso show on the figure?Comment
