Bobbie transported Han Solo in Carbonite to Pizza-The-Hutt …

He then died (see Return of the Jedi) --- in a comedic slap-stick scene

Why do peeps still like him ?

An iconic vintage Kenner action figure based on a cool looking character with mysterious back story (originally). Mostly the Kenner figure.

I don't think Lucas really got the character or realized his popularity when using him as a throw away joke in Jedi.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The character's design by Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston is awesome, from that original concept of the white Super Commando armour to the bounty hunter we know so well today. Boba Fett has captured the imagination of generations of fans.
(For me, Fett will always be Jeremy Bulloch in the suit and voiced by Jason Wingreen. But hey, Temuera Morrison is cool, too.)

i loved it. watched it twice already. i'm glad they started with flashbacks to explain how he survived and where he's been for the past 5 years before reappearing in Mandalorian

The best part of the premiere was how Fett's emergence from the Sarlacc Pit was obviously done as a tribute to Patton Oswalt's famous SW filibuster

Plus most fans got a Clint Eastwood vibe from him back in the day.

I loved it too. Ties in beautifully to what we know and expanded on his “survival” in a logical way. I wish this was the crew who had done the last trilogy.

                  Chapter 2 was great.
Loved the surprise cameos from certain OT characters.
(And there were also a couple of nods to the SW comics.)

I find the series very boring. Boba Fett was more of a bad*** in the movies and quite neutered in this series. It seems more of a drama than an action series.

well, they are still setting up the story line and they had to first fill in what had happened to him in the missing 5 years

Well I'm enjoying it so far, great to see some of the stuff that ties things in. Tatooine and it's inhabitants has always been a favorite so I love seeing more of that.

I'm very much enjoying the series. It and the Mandalorian work for me in a way the last trilogy did not. I do wonder what they'll do with the character's development. There's no redemption arc. He's not a bounty hunter anymore, he's more noble. He's not even an anti-hero so much as a regular hero. Anyway, I'm still very entertained. It's very well shot and the fan service is incredible.
