    Gray Morrow Frankenstein Connection

Flipping through some old horror mag covers at Mike's Amazing World of Comics, and I noted the cover of Famous Monsters spin-off, Monster World #7 (March 1966). Gray Morrow painted the cover, and I couldn't help but see a bit of a preview of what he would do on the Mad Monsters Frankenstein box art nearly a decade later!

Mike's Amazing World of Comics. A searchable resource indexing comics from multiple publishers, including DC, Marvel, Archie, Charlton, Dell, Gold Key and Harvey. Contains comic information and cover images for thousands of issues.

And of course I know he painted the poster for Al Adamson's immortal Dracula vs. Frankenstein!

Nice. Definitely had a distinctive style.

Sometimes it is incredible the art that used to be put onto toys. There's almost zero of that sort of thing today.
