      Hard question...

I think for me there's classics and newer classics and more recent.

Classics, are all of the Universal flicks for sure, and I'd add in the Abbott and Costello movies in with those as well.

Newer classics, Exorcist, Alien, The Thing, Salem's Lot, American Werewolf in London. I also love Silverbullet, Pet Sematary, Lost Boys. Halloween 1-3

More recent, Conjuring series, Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity, The Ring(these are fun to watch with people that haven't seen them).

Phantasm. I was 11 years old when I saw it and the scene where the Tall Man picks up a coffin by himself and puts it in a hearse, has stayed with me all these years.

It's either the original The Wolf Man or Hammer's Horror of Dracula. Don't make me pick!

no need to choose Chris. Obviously Wolf Man is the winner.

I'm not sure, because I like a lot of those horror movies now.

One of my top favorites is Revenge of Frankenstein.

Then I really enjoy every Dracula movie that I have seen the whole way through.

Dracula, the original followed by -

                      Hammer Films Dracula movies,

                      1990's Dracula,

                      1970's Dracula,

                      The Crow.

                      The Shining.

was think of checking out the Jack Palance Dracula sometime, I don't think that I got to that one.

Some middle of the list favorites are -

                      John Carpenter's Vampires.
They Live, if it can be counted as horror.
                      Fright Night.
                      Silver Bullet.
                      Interview With A Vampire.
                      The Howling.
                      The Howling II.
                      The Hand.
                      Dreamscape.
                      House.
                      House II.
                      The House That Dripped Blood.
                      House of A 1,000 Corpses.
                      The Devil's Rejects.
                      The Lost Boys.

Some lower selections of my favorites list -

                      The Skull.
                      The Devil Rides Out.
                      Race With The Devil.
                      Dreamcatcher.
                      The Stand.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors.
                      Theater Of Blood.

And an honorable mention to Hellraiser.

                        Dracula (1979)
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I wish there was a good way for all of us to settle on a weekly movie viewing time.

Maybe over Zoom or something so we can all chat and watch a voted on movie together.

Never seen Legend of Hell House before

Always avoided it because I had mixed the plot up with another movie with a similar title …

Anyway, just watched it for the first time...

That was a dang decent movie !!!
