Just watched the trailer. Looks like garbage, to me. Matt Smith absolutely looks out of place and miscast here.

I don't think there is enough in the trailer to know whether this is going to be good or not, but I will admit they kinda feel like Game of Thrones cosplayers...

I’ll buy The Winds of Winter IF it ever comes out, but there’s not much reason to. The last one was dreadful. Martin himself has lost interest in Westeros, and he’ll never, ever finish A Dream of Spring, if he ever starts it.

It’s a sad state of affairs, as HBO and Martin had something special, that could have been timeless if they’d stuck the ending. Neither did or will, and Martin’s dream of being the next Tolkien is done.

Well here we are just over a week away from the debut of this show, and it feels like there's barely a blip of hype for it. Considering what a sensation GoT was, that's pretty damn surprising.. but I assume has a lot to do with how the final season of GoT landed with such a thud.

Matt Smith put in a compelling performance.
Emma D'Arcy was also good as Rhaenyra.
