I like it.....that's up my Alley. 3 for me please. ☺ However, If they're not going with the bandless body for this new release....Please Mego make sure the O rubber bands are not put in tightly...99.6% of the times when you move the arms laterally, they "POP" out the socket. I'll be restringing mine anyway...Just feel bad for those who aren't versed in re-stringing and paid their hard earned money.

There will be two variations of this figure. One will have a black bandolier and one will have a brown bandolier. I hope we will get brown and black variants of the gun, because black isn't very screen accurate, but brown is.

I have tried to restring a few FTC figures, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have watched several tutorials online and my figures always tend to be too "loose" when the re-stringing is complete.

Black rifles are totally screen accurate-Check out what they're using in the original 'Planet of the Apes' film: Black rifles.

It wasn't until 'Beneath' that they went to brown rifles.

While I'll still be buying a couple of these figures when they come out, I just wanted to comment that I hope they tone down the purple so it's not so bright.

Also, while I painted an original Ursus head brown, I have the inside of his mouth painted pink (like the original figure came with), I think this black mouth looks pretty good.

While I can see why they're reusing the original Ursus head, I am a bit disappointed that they are, after reading that the new Soldier Ape was going to have an all new head sculpt, and then we're presented with a reused head.

I always thought it was a good sculpt that needed a nice paint job, so it works for me. I think they do have a soldier ape with a new sculpt on the way. My only small quibble is with the hands. His hands really should be black cause I think they wear gloves, the gorillas I mean. And yeah, the clothes are sort of wine colored, not full on purple, but I like it anyway.

Well, then I'm glad they are coming with black ones. I didn't remember black ones.

I thought they were upgrading the original soldier ape not Ursus. I am cancelling pre order since I can't get Zira now anyway.

While not dead on screen accurate, I have to say I always thought the original Enterprise crew were very well done, especially for their time... Sure the color for the phasers and tricorders was off, but I thought (and still think) the outfits, booted lower legs, and sculpts were pretty well done... (Now the Klingon and the original Aliens are way off from being screen accurate, but that's been taken care of down thru the years).
