And what’s wrong with those two? Are you still hating on Disco?

Well, I was one of those rockers who did too, back in the day, but grew to love them over the years.

ABBA and The Bee Gees are superior to 99% of the crap being played today.

            I have spoken!

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

KISS Alive is not exactly a compilation album, but plays several different hits live on stage…and it was absolutely my favorite album as a kid. I nearly wore down that LP, lol…

And my all time Greatest Hits album is from Queen, but that came out in 1981, so it doesn’t count here..

                      Are you kidding ?

One of my fav compilation albums is Hall and Oates Greatest Hits – Rock 'n Soul Part 1 (1983)

                      80's stuff definitely counts

                        Nope, not kidding.

You should’ve added the 80s in your title.

Nope, doesn’t count. You said 70s Greatest Hits album. While Queen was indeed been around since the 70s, their Greatest Hits album was released in 1981. And Queen is my all time favorite group. Just like KISS, as their first official Greatest Hits was not released until 1997.

In that case, we might as well include 90s and 00s Greatest Hits as well…

Um, hello, Double Platinum, released in 1978 ?!!
Definitely Kiss’ first “greatest hits” compilation, and definitely my fave from the 70’s.

As for ABBA and Bee Gees?
Sorry Hec, they sucked then, and time hasn’t improved them. And while I’m inclined to agree with you that their output is better than the bulk of today’s music, that ain’t saying much.
