This is awesome news. A sign of hope for more characters outside the monster, sci-fi, super hero realm.

Interesting collaboration!… thinking about so many great licenses that Topps (of course including Mars Attacks & Go Ape!) have carried over the decades.

Maybe we get an exclusive figure with exclusive cards? Could be very cool!

Man, I would love to see some figures based on Topps versions of the Batman characters from the classic painted card set of the 60s. Those card exist in a bizarro Batman '66-adjacent universe!

Of course this opens up stuff for non-Topps efforts as well. Very exciting times for Mego fans!

Could this lead to some Mars Attacks! figures?

It seems like Mego is going to release more Sports figures since Topps Cards are known for them. That a good market to extend into and easy for Mego to produce. The outfits just need new words & numbers with new heads to do teams.

I'm thinking new outfits for existing figures. It might just be new variants of already made characters. Seems like new sculpts and tooling would be expensive for limited releases.

It's interesting news but I'm wondering if there will now be some limited figures made that are going to be near impossible to get in the UK. It all depends on what figures they end up releasing for me but it could end up for being a weekly disappointment for those outside of the US.

I'll have to wait and see what happens with this (it may well end up being not something to worry about), but it's been hard enough with securing some Mego's already and hopefully this won't make it even harder.

As others have stated, I hope this means we gets some Mars Attacks figures. I’m okay with sports figures too, as long as we get legendary sporting icons like Jordan, Ali, Babe Ruth, and so on, instead of heavily tattooed NBA players like LeBron James.

Topps.com will feature exclusive action figures of some of the most iconic characters from Warner Bros, DC, MGM, Fox, and more.
Sounds intriguing! I thought Topps was primarily a trading card company with heavy emphasis on sports. I didn't know they had access or the rights to all those studios.

Why does it seem people are over thinking this. Topps is really better known for the sports cards/sports figures so they have the rights to the sports symbols. Mego is know for release articulate figures buy using generic bodies. Combining the two companies makes since and profitable. Doing figures like the NFL Action Team Mates would carry over into the sports collectables market for both girls and boys.
