What was your favorite MOTEL ? --- back in the day

Back in the day, 9 times out of 10 my Ma would get us a Chuck Connors living-mannequin motel room -- just to save a few bucks … Yes, price includes gov cheese

For me I think it was Howard Johnson's and then Holiday Inn. Although I would have to say they were both pretty much in a dead heat. It depends who had the better pool. Really enjoyed them both especially when we went to Gatlinburg.

I remember as a wee one heading weekends to the Lamplighter Motel in Dallas and living in the pool *** weekend. This happened maybe once a month in the summer but to a 5 yr old this was like Mardi Gras.
