Well boyfriend & I just got back from watching Black Widow and it was good. For a movie that they are trying to sandwich in it works. The MCU is deferent from the Marvel Universe with its characters but for the most part they were all part of the comic book Black Widow's past. I did like the fact that they left it open for more Black Widow sequels while setting up the Thunderbolt or Dark Avengers.

I will provide the Comic Book bio for the characters for those who have not read any of the Black Widow books or stories:

Some good action set-pieces, and some strong acting, but the movie is largely mediocre overall, IMHO.

we watched it last night. it was good, i enjoyed it, but it was not great. probably on Par with Black Panther, better than Cpt. Marvel. a lot of humor, including poking fun at Natasha. i liked the Yelena character and clearly she is being set up to take over as BW

My wife, daughter and myself all really enjoyed it. I thought the story was compelling, and honestly more emotionally deep than many of the Marvel films. Great action set pieces, and the humor was genuine and actually funny. For me, far superior to Captain Marvel, which in hindsight I find mostly forgettable. I'm much more interested in seeing more of this cast of characters than Captain Marvel. I'm glad they are adding in Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan (who we haven't met yet) to her sequel.

They did set it up so that Black Widow could return between movies. When you think about it there could be plenty of movies out there if they want to pay the big guys to come back and tell tales with these in-between movies.

I want to see the Winter Guard go against the Avengers!!!

My wife and I watched it via streaming last night. I thought it was very enjoyable and very likable characters.

I found the first 3/4 of the film very watchable, Florence Pugh (Yelena) kinda steals the show. I look forward to seeing more of her. David Harbour also brought some great comic relief. Things fell apart for me with the big action climax, but that's okay. Still a thumbs-up!

Apparently this film did pretty BAD and the production company went belly up!!!!


Interesting to see what happens next and IF

WILLIAM BURNSIDE is introduced to the MCU as the one Alexei talks about fighting back in the 1980's.

I actually thought that was a pretty good twist. On second viewing I could see it telegraphed pretty heavily, but first go around, I didn't expect it. That was partially because rumors had me convinced Taskmaster was someone else in the cast. I'm glad that wasn't true.
