Definitely some all time greats in that list!

A few other classics released during (or close to) the summer of '81 would be:

Dragonslayer, An American Werewolf in London, Excalibur, The Howling and Heavy Metal.

(And the following summer of '82 was also a legendary year for genre movies.)
      PUNY HUMANS!

          Ahhh,…. 1981 in films ……….

Took a classmate lady to see Blowout (ride provided by my personal chauffeur -- aka Mom --- spent like 10 bucks on theatre snacks and stuff.

Went home with NOTHING accept memories of a very boring movie.

To my 1981 lady today 40 years later …

Sorry for picking such a god-danged boring picture

My all time favorite movie from 1981 is Heavy Metal. I love that movie!

I graduated from high school in late May of 1981, and I turned 17 later that summer.

1981 was a great year for movies and music.

I sure wish that I had a time machine.

Very good underrated film in the Bond franchise

Sheena Easton was a knock-out !!! … No wonder the producers let her do the intro …

Carole Bouquet ??? … arguably, the most beautiful Bond girl EVER - imo

Chaim Topol ??? … Tevye the Dairyman and Dr Zarkov rolled into one ….

Lynn-Holly Johnson ??? --- cutest Bond girl EVER although Blanche Ravalec could give her a run for her money.

Best quote from any Bond movie EVER !!! --- "Mr Bond! We can do a deal! I'll buy you a delicatessen! In stainless steel!" --- said by MAYBE Blofeld

                        That is a good one.

And what a funny line! Ha!, Ha!

I think that I like just about everything in that movie.

Julien Glover was in it, General Maximilian Veers in The Empire Strikes Back!, and he was Walter Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade!

I almost went to a Sheena Easton performance just for that one song.

The movie had all kinds of fun adventure in it, especially the undersea moments.
