If that were true FTC would be doing it too. They are all about saving a dime. They do indeed look cheaper though.

Without seeing this post, I went and got the one McCoy figure they had left for a friend there, and left two Salt Vampire figures. That's all the Mego they had.

Interesting when I was there ,there were no salt vampires unless they were lying around the neca area.or put them out later .I already have 3 of those.target can be erratic .

BTW, am I the only one who likes the original sculpt better ?
I'm with you on that too.

Two things I wish were different about the new figures:

            1. painted faces (they look terrible to me, and very unlike the original Mego figures)
            2. too-detailed sculpts (I prefer the Trek figures in particular to look more like the cartoon, like the originals - too much realistic detail on the face wrecks the magic)

WANTED: partly-unsealed or bubble-damaged carded Romulan + unbroken plant trap from Mission to Gamma VI

Is this "corrected" McCoy wearing the short sleeve shirt or the long? I've got the pale version next to my original. The original looks so much better. Now I have to decide if I should get another one. (If I can find it, of course.)

If a regular Mego Dr. McCoy was released with a custom Dave McCormack original series medical short-sleeve shirt it would be a hit …

Mego, sell the uniforms separately like the old Action Jackson uniforms.

People want the clothes more than anything

I doubt mego would sell Trek clothes separately packaged and send to Target-Walmart, our best bet would be to contact Dr. Mego and ask if there’s a chance he could sell them on his website?

I know he still has Trek clothes and weapons on his site from the EMCE days, if there’s enough folks partitioning for them maybe there’s a chance?

Here's a (terrible) picture of the new Dr. McCoy skin tone next to Scotty. It looks better in person.

Thanks for the pic, Lonnie. I don't have Facebook, so I hadn't seen even a "terrible" pic yet.

Not to change the subject, but has anyone else noticed that the Trek pants seem to be riding up higher and higher on the leg? The cuff has moved from the calf to the knee...
