Anybody going to the 2021 Guns N' Roses reunion tour ?

Concert sites are pretty plentiful around these parts ...

I want too, but I don't trust Axl will actually show up

I saw them a couple of years ago when they toured. They put on a good show. It shockingly went on right in time and lasted for just over 3 hours. Axel had some vocal issuesthat night, but was good on most songs. People who were sitting close said he was clearly sick that night.

Got to see these scoundrels when they opened for The Rolling Stones in '89 at the L.A. Coliseum.

The night before our show, Axl was ripped and started berating the fans and eventually fell off the stage. The next day, we got the apologetic Axl. They put on a great show, but couldn't come close to The Stones, who just destroyed the Coli. Mick even made a crack about Axl's behavior when they broke into "Mixed Emotions".

            "Bums and Poses"

Ah, No, not going, on this "Reunion" tour. No Steven Adler? No IZZY??? Sacrilege!!!

Seriously, back in the 80's I was not into this band, I was more into the Shredders, Vai, Satch, Paul Gilbert, Yngwie, Lynch, etc,etc... All my friends are shredders and
in the 80's my faves were DIO, Loudness, Asia, Racer-X, Priest, Maiden, Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Dokken. VAN HALEN!!

Now mind you "Appetite" is a great lp, well produced thanks to MIKE CLINK. But... it didn't appeal to me. sorry.

to me they pretty much took (RIPPED OFF) the BEST of HANOI ROCKS, who I am a fan of to this day. Axl was Mike Monroe, Slash was Andy McCoy, Izzy was Nasty Suicide. Duff was Sammy Yaffa and Steven was Razzle. And sadly they took it and America and the rest of the planet accepted it.

but, when I heard after the big break up in the 90's that Axl was getting "his version" for the 2000's, and he got BUCKETHEAD in to replace Slash, at first I laffed and thought it was a joke, but then I got a phone call the next night from a friend in the know and confirmed it.

Wow. Big B was in Bums & Poses. and when I saw the first bootleg video of them, I was gobsmacked, But knowing Bucket, I knew he wouldn't last. And enter Ron Thal. Ron is from Jersey and MIke Varney of Shrapnel records turned me onto him. at the time Ron was a devotee of Zappa and he pretty much was a "Vai clone" (Sorry Ron!!!). He came in helped finish off "Chinese Democracy", which is the ONLY GNR record I own. And I liked it, some underappreciated tunes and it don't hurt having Brian May play a solo on the record!!!! and then nothing and then...

the "reunion". sigh... was it really worth it? They been flogging that dead horse for 2? 3 years now and no NEW Material?? Disrespecting IZZY the one guy who deserves to be there, but the big three are too greedy to split the ca$h five way!!! And the real reasons for the reunion are for Axl to pay back GEFFEN for the $13,000,000 budget Blown on Democracy and for Slash's divorce from Perla.

            Lame.

I was more excited when "Rainbow" reformed a few years ago.

                To be totally-totally honest, I've never cared that much for G & R ……..

… But I do love their song, Sweet Child of Mine

the guitar work mesmerizes me and puts me in a trance

                    Old lady screechy voice ???

Think Robert Plant might be blamed for starting that trend in the 70's ….

I'm tempted to go to this, but I already put down a lot of coin on the Genesis tour. There's only so many old man bands one can see in a year.

Right. I still have tickets for The Rolling Stones that was originally supposed to happen on my son’s 18th birthday. It was the perfect gift for him. Damn pandemic.
