    Amazon just bought James Bond.

Amazon now owns MGM studios and its massive IP and movie library.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

My opinion for a new James Bond film (note, i'm not that up on English actors so i'll mostly likely list Canadians/Americans)

Samuel L. Jackson as M (the Chief)

    Rosario Dawson as Moneypenny

James Bond ……… wait for it ………… Stone Cold Steve Austin

I do think Jeff Bezos is a Bond villain, so this works.

Not good news in ANY way. I'm betting they'll stop producing physical media of any kind and force everything onto their streaming service.

I also want Steve Buscemi and his trusted henchman Brad Dourif as the bad guys

For the main Bond girl i'm thinking an Indian/Pakistani babe would be nice.

Ok, let's get this movie made --- and don't forget to send me my royalties (will settle for in food stamps)

One of the main reason Amazon bought MGM, they hold the uncut, unedited, racist remarks from The Apprentice. If Trump goes for another bid for President Jeff Bezos (who HATES Trump) will release the footage.

I have been saying for awhile theaters and hard copies are going away, we are in the middle of the Streaming Wars so get used to it.

That footage will not dissuade anyone.

Regarding MGM: When Ted Turner bought the library and colorized a few films, fans feared the worst. I was one. But Turner created TCM and became a champion of film preservation. I tend to agree with Enyawd72 and I don't respect Bezos, but I'll try to be optimistic for a while.

The James Bond rights owners insist the Amazon/MGM deal won't keep the Bond movies from releasing in theaters.

In a statement to Variety, Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson affirmed they are "committed to continuing to make James Bond films for the worldwide theatrical audience" following Amazon's $8.45 billion purchase of MGM. While the studio has the rights to financing and distributing the James Bond movies, Broccoli and Wilson's Eon Productions maintains control over other aspects, including marketing and casting.
The James Bond rights owners say the Bond movies will continue to release in theaters around the world following Amazon's purchase of MGM.

Truer words have not spoken. Amazons other reason, when you have more money than anyone you spend money just to spend before there is nothing else to add in the streaming wars. Amazon over paid, MGM was around 4 billion, Jeff overpaid.

Will this finally stop A Christmas Story from being played on TBS for an endless loop all Christmas?!?

I hope so, I’m sick of that stupid movie.

It sounds like somebody needs his Christmas spirit boosted with a 24 round of Ralphie.

Not to worry. Amazon's buying Christmas itself next. With options for Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and maybe Labor Day.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

I don’t know about Steve Austin as 007. That’s as anti-British as they come, lol.

But I do love me some Rosario Dawson, she’s a cool chick. Loved her in Clerks 2. Her dance is so adorable...
