    Please help

Hi, can anyone tell me if the heads from Mattel’s Welcome Back, Kotter figures will fit (with the proper neck adapter of course) a Mego or Type S body? Or will they look way too large in terms of scale? Thanks.

SUPER JOE WASHINGTON PATHS OF DANGER.jpg

I used one for my Super Joes. They should fit on the New Megos.

They're a little big, but not horrible IMO. Dave Mc shrunk a set back in the day.

What's the best method to shrink heads? Let them soak in nail polish remover? Will this work? If so, how long does it take?

The best method is probably to soak in naphtha. It doesn't remove the paint, but it doesn't shrink as much as acetone. Acetone can ruin the heads. Acetone is in nail polish remover. Not all vinyl heads will shrink, though. I tried to shrink Mork heads and nothing happened.

Thanks. Where is the best place to purchase naphtha? I am unfamiliar with this.

Hardware stores, Lowe's, Home Depot. There're several threads here about shrinking with naphtha.

IMO they are to large. Tried both Acetone and the head fractured. Tried Naptha and the head barely shrunk any. Had same problem with Space 1999 Dr. Bergman, Mr. Kotter and Mork. Its something about the plastic used to make these or the age or maybe both.

I think it's just the plastic and not the age.

Interestingly, all three lines you mentioned were by Mattel.
