    RIP Norman Lloyd

One of the most under-rated actors ever. This was a guy who, while you have seen his face 1000 times, you did not know his name. Among his many films, he did the fantastic "Saboteur" and "Spellbound." Both were Alfred Hitchcock films. In addition, he did "Audrey Rose" and "Dead Poet's Society." He also was a regular on TV in "St Elsewhere." His tennis opponents included his good friends Charlie Chaplin, Joseph Cotten, and Spencer Tracy. The guy truly was a Hollywood legend in his own right. Norman was 106.

I discovered Lloyd on St. Elswhere in the '80s, a favorite character on a favorite show. Then it was Dead Poets Society, classic films on TCM, and turns as producer, director, and actor for Alfred Hitchcock's TV series. Lloyd found work there after the Hollywood blacklist.

I'll miss him, he had a wry humor that shown in his interviews and I enjoyed his work. RIP.
