    A Piece of the Action

Here are a couple of quick, easy figures I put together - Kirk and Spock from the classic episode A Piece of the Action.

Original Mego heads on Type S bodies with clothing and accessories from Playmates figures. I know the clothes are a little big but it’s cool nonetheless.

    Shoes from CTVT.

    What does everyone think?

Not bad, I would have used the hats from CTVT instead.

Thanks! The hats may get replaced yet or modified somehow to fit better, but I am pleased with how they turned out. It would be awesome if Mego made their own versions of these figures.

Good! It occurs to me that washing the clothes might shrink them slightly.

I think CTVT has (from Stooges and Presidents) the suits to do these as well.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Thanks everyone! As you may recall I also did a Kirk and Spock from City on the Edge of Forever a while back… do any of you have any ideas or suggestions for other versions of these two I could make? I have the actual Mego figures of them in their dress uniforms, from the mirror universe, Wrath of Khan and Spock in his yellow shirt and Kirk in his green shirt. What other classic versions are there?

I can think of a bunch... with varying degrees of difficulty...

Where No Man Has Gone Before style uniforms
              Star Trek:TMP uniforms
              Bread & Circuses shirts/outfits
              Kirk as a Romulan
              Spock's Brain verssion of Spock
              Environmental Suits
              Naked Time style suit
Kirk's red karate outfit from Charlie X
Kirk with a ripped shirt (happens in too many episodes... but I'd go Amok Time and also do Spock, the sash, & the lirpas)

Ahnd in the "yes, it is iconic but I would avoid it" category...

Thanks, guys! This is awesome. I feel inspired. Now to find some more Kirk and Spock (and other crew members) heads and I can get started.

Kirk and Spock from Amok Time would be pretty easy as well, Laser Mego sells the weapons on his site

Classic tv toys now sells pinstripe outfits, and they should fit better, been thinking of picking up one myself for a western character custom. I have many Trek customs but no variants of Kirk and Spock, just villains-aliens and other crew members from specific episodes.

Very cool. Awesome figures. They look like they are ready for a game of Fizbin.
