    Netflix Jupiter’s Legacy

Based on a comic book that I didn’t know anything about...

Just finished all eight episodes. I really liked it. Great special-effects. Well acted. It’s not romp fun like The Boys. It has a more dramatic somber note. The entire series goes back and forth between present day and 1929, the Depression Era...

It’s not kid friendly. Violence, sexual content, language, is part of the show.

Some critics and others say it’s plodding/slow. I didn’t feel that way. I truly enjoyed every single episode.

If you like The Boys, Umbrella Academy, Doom Patrol, Invincible, etc...you will enjoy Jupiter’s Legacy.

Your best bet is to not to read the book, it will really confuse you. The series went a different angle and worked out better anyway. For those who have read the first run of the comic books there are some scenes right out of the comic.

Last comic book I read was 15 years ago. So no worries, lol.

Saw the trailer for it, and I'll be honest, all of these "off-brand" super hero shows and movies are starting to run together. I know for years the media has been waiting for the super hero bubble to pop. I think these types of shows will probably do it before the big guns do, just due to over saturation.

That being said, it did look pretty good.

It’s the number one show on Netflix right now.

When I saw the add with fake beards, and wigs, it didn't look good, but after watching all 8 episodes I liked it.Not as good as The Boys, or Invincible, and the two timelines gets a little slow, but I would watch season 2. The modern timeline is way better

I just finished it. I did prefer both The Boys and Invincible (and I've not read any of the series for these), but it works, and I thought it got stronger after a somewhat meh start. I agree the flashback was slow going at times, and there was something that felt off at times with the look, but that wasn't consistent, and it all pulled together, so I'll view a second round of episodes, if they re-up it.

In my head, I thought the book was an Alex Ross vehicle, but I saw from the start of this it was from Mark Millar instead.

Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.

Not very, considering their top rated show was a sitcom that went off the air nearly 20 years ago.
