Probably my current car which is a 2015 Lexus RX 330. I had a 2005 Toyota Highlander which I loved (it always ran well with minimal maintenance, but was totaled in a car accident in 2018) so rather than buy a Highlander I bought the higher end Toyota brand Lexus model.

I've always had Mustangs, and I have a 2006 black Mustang GT right now, and we have a red 1988 Mustang GT convertible as well. My daily driver is a dark green 2013 Ford Taurus SHO (very fun and fast) and my wife has a white 2018 Chrysler Pacifica S minivan, which is a treat to drive as well. My son has a black 2011 Dodge Charger Mopar edition Hemi, and my daughter drives a white 2017 Fusion. I had a Voodoo Blue Toyota FJ Cruiser until recently and it was a lot of fun to drive too.

Yes it's a full garage and driveway at my house

Probably my first car: a 1978 black Chevrolet Monte Carlo with burgundy interior.

my favorite was my 1971 VW Karmann Ghia, it was Porsche India Red, and the prior owner had grafted the transmission from a 66 Porsche 911 into it. I had to get rid of it 35 years ago this month. That transmission the prior owner put in caused a lot of mechanical problems.

Back in the day, I had an 86 Monte Carlo SS V-8 two tone blue with blue cloth interior and believe me folks that car cooked. I was sometimes mistaken for the State Police and yes, I did have a police scanner too at the time.

Yeah, she drove a 280z. Yes, gorgeous car. Yes, gorgeous Lindsey Wagner. I do regret selling my 280z. But I was commuting 40 miles each way to my job at the time. I needed a more practical car for commuting. So I sold it and got me a boring Mitsubishi Cordia. It was a great commuter car, but looked so ugly, lol. Then a few years later, I bought another 280, but this was not the sexy 280z, it was the newer 280zx, and never liked that one. I sold that one too later on. My Mustang was purchased solely for leisure, not commute. It’s basically my fun retirement ride. I only put like 200-500 miles on it per year. It’s definitely not cheap maintaining or updating the thing though. It’s been 16 years since I bought it, and I’m still spending money on it, lol. Bloody thing is a money sucking vampire, pardon the pun, lol.

I loved my 95 Mazda Miata. Fun to drive and reliable. I bought it in 2005 and got rid of it in 2017. Never had a major issue... just regular maintenance-type/wear related repairs. Only thing that made me get rid of it was the body rusting and paint issues and general shabbiness. It would have cost more to fix those than the car was worth. I didn't want to deal with selling it and it was basically sitting unloved in my driveway for a year, so I gave it to a friend who needed a car and he's been using it as his main driver since. The downside to it was that it's super small. I once got hit by a tanker truck who rolled into me at a stoplight because he claimed he didn't see me below his hood, and I believe him.

Clearly not a car guy, but after owning that tiny thing, I've been really happy with my Honda Fit. It's fun to drive, plus I am not way down below everyone else on the road so the highway doesn't feel like I'm going to die. There's so much room compared to the Miata, but it's still a zippy small car that gets me where I want to go reliably. Also, I can fit more than a 12 pack of soda in the back.

My second car, parked in front of my first full time job. Bought it for $2K in the Spring of '82, kept it through the Summer of '88 when it became nearly impossible to purchase gas that kept it happy. It was a 2+2, with a manual 4 speed transmission, 302 w/4 barrel carburetor, front disc brakes, rally pack on steering column, black interior, and a fold down rear bench seat. It was a great travel car, I put over 200K miles on it and loved every minute behind the wheel of that car, but it sure was a thirsty beast...especially by today's standards. Every time I see one on the road, especially one in Poppy Red, my eyes light up and my heart sighs a little.

My first car was a gently used '72 Ford Pinto Runabout (enough said), and I currently drive a '99 GMC Pickup that I purchased brand new. Truck still looks new and runs great, I see others on the road every now and then, and they're generally pretty run down. Whenever I think about buying new, I look at the current price tags and think, "Nah!"

Probably my first, in 1987, a 1973 GMC Sprint that had a 1975 Laguna S3 front end on it. At that time I didn’t know the difference between a Sprint and El Camino. So I always called it an El Camino...Lol. At some point I want to try and restore one like I had. But I do currently have two El Camino’s, a 1972 and 1975.
