What was your favorite car you ever owned ?

Everybody has a favorite car they once owned (or still own)

I have 2 answers --- for pure coolness I had a '77 black Trans Am beater … Man it was a POS and lost it's brakes on more than one occasion --- One time I had to drive home 15 miles with no brakes … Loved that thing though… Had to sell it because it was just too expensive to maintain

My fav of all was a gold/white vinyl top 1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring … When you sat in that car you felt like king of the world … all white fake leather interior and an engine so quiet you didn't even know it was running (back in the day stealth was more important than noise)

    Those we the days

    How about yous ?

Either my '69 VW bug or my '67 Mercury Montclair. Both were red. The Montclair was super giant. Bigger than a Cadillac.

Or, maybe my '78 Camaro Type LT. So hard to choose a favorite.

My 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 is my favorite car, though I really miss my '74 Datsun 260Z 2+2.

I had a 66 Corvette roadster when I was a youngster. I also had a full head of hair. I'd trade the rest of the hair to get the hot rod back.

^ --- I used to have a lot of hair too … I think the combination genetics mixed with fortnight perms is what did me in

I inherited my parent's 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It had a newer V8 engine in it my Dad put in after my sister burned the original one up in Super Drive. The color was similar to the one I found online here, but was a custom bronze job, with no vinyl top. That thing was great. Lots of great memories in it. In early 1993, it got rear-ended by a 2-ton pickup. If I'd been in another, newer car, both my then-future-wife and I would probably be dead now!

Oh wow, my ex-wife had one of those in high school. It was gray but otherwise a twin to yours if I recall. It rode smooth, I always thought it was a sharp car. Her dad sold it after it started to become unreliable.

Probably my white 1986 SVO Mustang. This white one below was my third one. I had a silver 84 right out of high school, a red 85.5 (1 of 439) and a black 86 Competition Prep (1 of 91). The Comp Prep option deleted the A/C, power windows and locks and even the radio. I wish I had kept that one.

This white one was the nicest driving one I had, lots of fun and was slightly modified.

                          The one I have now, 1965 Mustang coupe.(it’s technically a 1964 1/2).

Runner ups: My 1978 Datsun 280Z (I sold it 20 years ago) and a 1967 AMC Marlin, who my dad gave to me, but was hit sideways by an elderly mad and totaled the side (this was 25 years ago). I sadly had to discard it. But my current 1965 Mustang has always been my dream car, and managed to buy one in 2005, and it’s still with me. I was about to have it painted when the pandemic started. Once this all cools down, I’ll paint it Wimbledon White.

Nice pics of your cars, guys!

I love whatever car gets me to work without major repairs or a car payment. I've usually owned subcompact Fords--I miss the Escort.

I'd rather spend my $$ on toys and books!
