    Thundercats movie?!?

Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard is taking on the directorial role in the Warner Bros. hybrid adaptation of the popular '80s cartoon Thundercats.

If this happens could mean a boost for merchandise!!!

Seems like they've been threatening a Thundercats movie for ages now. After the abysmal Roar I'm not sure WB knows what the heck to do with the property. Hopefully they'll finally get it right.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

well it seems Wingard is a true fan of the property. i read some comments from him and he really seems to have a passion for the characters. it won't be live action.

The first fan-film I remember way back:

This was put together by a group of talented make up artists, stunt men, and actors from the Orlando Area around 2000. They ended up going to ComiCon and winning a costume contest for this video. This is an impressive piece of work for it's time, and since I had it on an old VHS, figured it needed to be brought to light. There is another copy of this floating around, but as you can tell from the old school tracking lines, this is an original from the team that created it. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy this gem from our childhood.

from what I read, if this director continues with the project, it will be the classic cartoon, not the failures from the past few years
