Do you ever buy food from Food Trucks or Hot Dog stands ?

Not talking about pre-made food from standard work Roach-Coaches...

I hear a lot of good things about them but I can't forget what my mom said about them many years ago...

"Where does he go to the bathroom and is there a sink for him to wash-up afterwards ?"

This always runs through my head every time I see a Food Truck/Hot Dog stand in the middle of nowhere

The food trucks I’ve seen are very clean. I always love a good Hot Dog stand. To be honest, the stuff in the Hot Dogs is worse than anything else.

Why would he bother to wash up after peeing in your food?

Remember like a year-ish ago when an anti-immigrant politician made a comment about in the future America will have a taco truck in EVERY town ?

            ----------I'm looking forward to that

All we have here is Taco Bell

Lots of Gourmet Food Trucks around here. Chef Roy Choi is considered by many as the O.G. of this scene, with his Korean BBQ Kogi Truck hittin' L.A. back in '08. Dude's quite the character and his food is delicious.

Another of our favorites is the Lobsta Truck.

I’ve seen and heard of him in various food shows, he’s kinda famous. Would love to try his fusion-type Mexican/Korean tacos...only in California...

During non-COVID days I work in downtown Philadelphia, and there's food trucks all over the place. There's one with a Greek couple near me that makes an outstanding gyro, complete with a drink for $6. Not something I eat more than once a month because calories, but a wonderful option. I've never gotten sick from eating at one, and found all the trucks to be clean, probably better than restaurants where you can't see into the kitchen or basement.

                        I miss food trucks...

Central Ohio is home to a fair number food trucks of all different cuisines. I've never had a bad experience at one, though I'm cheap and the higher-end ones cause me financial distress. Our laws and licensing seem to be pretty reasonable (see the link). Since the trucks live and die by social media, and since the owners are often hands-on, I'm comfortable that there won't be many games played with food safety.

Our small town has a food truck stop at our local brewery/bar every week. And most of them are pretty good. There are also a few BBQ trucks that pull into town on occasion. I enjoy the variety.

Problem with BBQ places (trucks or brick and mortar buildings) is they are so dang expensive.

My tiny one-horse town opened a new BBQ restaurant last year.

Guy is from Texas --- don't ask me why (of all places in the USA) he came to the Pocono's

His prices are incredibly expensive --- Like who has the money to spend $30.00 on a burger, fries and coke ?
