Incomplete Main Characters?

I have a goal to let go of Mego waves that don't have the main characters or plans to make them from memory I would say...

Brady Bunch, we got Greg and Alice. Can't count Marcia with broken nose not sure if they made the regular one.

Facts of Life, I don't think they ever made the lady from the other show in charge, or the larger girl

Charlie's Angels Did they actually make all three?

Wizard of Oz...how said what a fun line never going to get the Tin Man or Scarecrow? And what about Toto?

I can't even begin to ponder some of the others like Cheers or Married with Children. Maybe other people are completist too and a thread like this could help.

Otherwise I think I am going to discard the Brady ones really. Does anyone else find interest in sets with principle characters?

Let's hope we get Astronaut from the Apes very soon.

You are talking about the Target request figures:

Brady Bunch was basically an extension of the FTC version they released several years back. They only release the three characters as variants.

Facts of Life only had the three girls. Since it would require new bodies to finish the lineup they did not complete it.

Charlie's Angels They did finish season 2 of the how (well minus Bosely) and you could add in Farrah Fawcett to the lineup

Wizard of Oz all that got release was Dorothy, wicked With and Lion. I was hoping this lineup would have keep going.

Married with Children was missing Bud

Cheers was missing everybody but three that was released.

- New Target Megos we got Fonzie, Richie, and Chachi
- Old '70s Megos we got Fonzie, Richie, Potsie, and Ralph

At the time when FTC made the Brady Bunch set, the estate of Robert Reed refused to give them permission to use his likeness for a Mike Brady figure, so he is missing from an otherwise excellent set.
I think that's all been changed now because his image has appeared on recent merchandise. Would be cool if Mego would make a Mike Brady figure. I bet a lot of fans like me who have the FTC set would buy one to complete our collections.

Charlies Angels was complete minus Bosley and like someone already mentioned Farrah was made separately.

I would like to see mego make John Bosley, but at least that line was technically finished unlike other lines that should have been or never started in the first place.

Pretty sure Lord of the Rings is DOA, so there's another

They really should have started Lord of the Rings with Gandalf and Frodo and Oz with Dorothy and Scarecrow. I bet these lines would do better if the releases reflected the characters impact to the story.

From the sounds of things, it seems all of the sitcom series are done, due to poor sales, and the fact Target strangely asked for them, and now Mego isn't beholden to Target.

I was pretty bummed we didn't complete some of the TV lines that were close, like Married with Children.

Would have much preferred to see a Facts of Life 2-pack with Mrs. Garrett & Natalie or a Cheers Sam & Dianne pack over the Full House set....The characters chosen for the Full House set was baffling to me. Especially since there were no other characters from that show in singles assortments.

Wasn't too bothered about Paige from Charmed. Was glad we completed the early season trio.

The ones I would like to see more of are I Dream of Jeannie, Happy Days and Charlie's Angels but with actor likeness. As much as I love monsters, sci-fi and super heroes I think there's room for stuff outside those genres in the hobby. Unfortunately there's very few of us that feel that way.
