nope and really doesn't wear it all that much. The mask was laying in one of his cars so he brought it with him. He dons it in ep 3 during a gun fight scene:

He was a commando in the Sokovian military. So he's kind of like a Sokovian version of Beachhead from GI Joe, with that kind of mask, I guess.

They're telling us to be prepared for a major cameo this Friday. It's supposed to be emotional. Black Panther has already been ruled out. My guess is old Steve Rogers. He can possibly counsel Walker and also pump up Sam. That's my guess. He would solve a few issues in the show and bring some closure. The John Walker character is fantastic and I hope they are able to continue to build him.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

John Walker is the best character. I find Sam and Bucky rather boring and cliche. Walker is such a complex character in comparison.sigpicComment

Walker is an interesting character, and one that will add dimension to the MCU...but I'm not signing up for his fan club. The guy's obviously got a screw loose, just as he did in the comics.

^They haven't really said one way or another, I believe. They have been very vague. Maybe it's because the writers and directors of Endgame could never agree if this Steve lived his life in the main MCU timeline, or an alternate one, and just visited his original timeline to give Sam the shield and mantle.
