    The Everlovin' Blue Eyed THING!!

12 inches tall body is a plastic doll armature that I've been using. Head, hands, feet and cigar sculpted by me. The hide on the body is.... paperboard egg cartons, the texture is perfect for the character, the whole figure was painted a red oxide base coat with a purple wash and drybrushed with King's gold. The purple idea I found on a custom Marvel Legends Thing paintjob on youtube. Now I need to figure out the rest of the team. Maybe after Xemnu.

Oh yeah! Cool proportions, wholly effective use of unorthodox assemblage, and the paints just bring it all together too!

I feel it has a "If Mike Mignola created the FF" vibe which is awesome. Love the mixture of the rock and the early lumpy Thing looks in your own unique take!

That is a very cool piece. I especially love your paint apps. The red and purple undercoating really compliments the gold drybrush to pull out the details . Exceptional work. Well done!

Had a bunch of people tell me that on Facebook. I don’t see it but I believe you all. Hellboy is for sure Ben Grimm’s descendant in the comics world.

Egg cartons, what a brilliant idea.
Gotta admit tho when I saw the first pic for a second there I thought Ben's eye was hanging out of it's socket
