MOTU Origins Castle Grayskull has hit Canada

I got a Grayskull today from Amazon, cheaper than BBTS and with free shipping.

It's wonderful, suddenly it was 1982 again and the magic of MOTU was back! I had a truly awful day personally and this arrival made me smile.

I had the same feeling.

If you love Motu or even just 80s toys in general you really need to pick one up. You just don't see this kind of playset at mass retail anymore. It really is amazing and if sales are good I think we at least have a chance at getting Snake Mountain.

It's nicely-done indeed. I do hope for a Snake Mountain, and I would gladly sacrifice the microphone to keep it affordable. Maybe a simpler mechanical sound effect could be added instead.

I would prefer them to just have a few buttons on it that play the character voices of the original series, if they have the rights to do that.

That's a brilliant idea, if as you say they have the rights. Alan Oppenheimer, plus a howl, a hiss, and a gate/mountain voice would be awesome!!!

Snake Mountain's microphone is really effective old school tech. The thunder and echo effects are done by shaking the spring that is inside the Wolf's head microphone which is then wired to a simple speaker.
