    RIP Hal Holbrook

What an incredible actor! He won 5 Emmy Awards and a Tony. Aside from playing in "All the President's Men" he did so many other great films as well! I loved him in John Carpenter's "The Fog." Just a great presence on the big screen as well as TV. He was superb playing Mark Twain!!! He was 95..........

Forever grateful that his Mark Twain performance was recorded. Even in a sitcom like Evening Shade, he shone. Effective as a villain, too. RIP.

Wasn't he in The Star Chamber (1983) with Michael Douglas ?

Kinda remember watching (and liking) it on HBO in the mid 80's

He was always great. I particularly liked him as the leader of the rogue cops in the Dirty Harry sequel Magnum Force. Some great scenes with him and Eastwood in that one.
