    Tommy Lasorda RIP

I always loved him as the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers! He was totally unabashed and unafraid! Yet, he got results! I actually met him years ago when he was staying at a hotel that I worked at. He signed a "Slim Fast" box for me. He explained that he only did the commercials because they paid him "six figures." I remember laughing! He said the shakes were just gross! He said the moment the commercials ended, he put all the weight back on. He stated drinking those shakes, he was just "starving himself." He remarked that was the only way anyone lost weight! He was hilarious! Unfortunately, even though I hailed him a cab, he did not tip me. Oh well! He leaves behind a lot of great baseball memories, as well as some personal ones for me as well! He was 93 years old.

It’s weird that he only won 2 World Series in the 20 plus years he managed and all for the Dodgers. I believe he was also a player on the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers the only year that team won a World Series.

We lost a lot of hall of fame athletes this year, RIP guys.
